What is Reiki and what is a reiki energy treatment?
Reiki is an energy healing technique that has many wellbeing and healing benefits. I use my hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of YOUR energy to support your healing mind, body, heart, and soul. I place my hands gently on your body or hover my hands over your body, depending on your individual needs or the guidance I am receiving during the treatment. You do not remove clothing for a reiki treatment. You rest on a warm massage table with pillows and a blanket for comfort while reiki healing music plays softly. During the session or at the end, I will play my koshi bells to help release stuck or ‘negative’ energy and infuse your cells with angelic healing light energy. You might feel sensations like heat, tingling, or pulsing where my hands are, or throughout your body. Or you might not notice any sensations. Either way, you are receiving the same benefits. Some people get so relaxed and feel so calm that they fall asleep.

Reiki was developed by Dr. Usui in the early 1900s. The term rei, means “universal,” and ki, vital life force energy that flows through all living things. When combined REIKI means Universally Guided Universal Life Force Energy.
