Stress-Relief Meditation

Has stress really got you in its grip? Are you having restless nights sleeping? Or perhaps you have down time but are having a hard time relaxing?

You know how much I love to help you find ways of letting go of stress!!! My new guided mindfulness meditation is designed to do exactly this. You will experience a sense of release, rest, and relaxation in your physical body as well as feel more ease, calm and peace in your heart and mind. Who doesn’t want that?

Regularly bringing mindful awareness to your physical body and breath by practicing mindfulness meditation like this one has a powerful positive effect on your nervous system. Here’s why. Most of us are in chronic state of habitually feeling stressed, which can trigger our nervous system to go into fight, flight or freeze mode. The words say it all. When we bring mindful attention to our bodies, minds and hearts—someone wonderful happens. Our nervous system shifts into rest and digest mode. In this mode, we can actually feel a sense of inner safety, security and calm.

Indira Gandhi said, “You can’t shake hands with a clenched fist.” When we are stressed and our body is clenched, it’s hard to shake hands with ourselves and by that, I mean, offer ourselves the attention, compassion and support that is needed in the moment to respond to the challenges of life. And it’s just as difficult to connect with the world around us in a life-affirming way; with our kids, partners, co-workers or employees, and even the people we meet in the grocery store.

Mindfulness offers us a simple way to unclench—

the stress in our physical body,

the busy or anxious thoughts in our heads,

and the strong emotions in our hearts.

This meditation begins with a fun practice I designed to help you get to know what stress feels like for you. I hope you check it out. Rest and release are only a few minutes away.

Guided meditation begins at 4:00.
