Anxiety-Relief Meditation

I think you are going to love the new guided meditation I recorded on the last day of November 2022. It’s a powerful mindfulness practice that shifts those mindless insistent ‘what ifs?’ thoughts that tend to overwhelm our minds when the holidays season arrives.

What if I can’t get a plane ticket.

What if I get sick and have to cancel?

What if my boss adds more end of year deadlines I can’t meet?

What if my family hates what I bought them?

What if I am not invited?

What if, what if, what if????

This meditation guides you in releasing the ‘what ifs’ by mindfully focusing on ‘what is.’

The present moment is all we have. When we can get a real sense of what is actually happening right now, we often discover that we can deal with it. It’s manageable. It’s doable. It’s better than we thought. And sometimes, we notice precious things we have been missing, like the color of the night sky, or the beauty of the lights, or the smile on someone’s face.

The actual meditation is about 7–10 minutes and I also offer some guidance before it starts. Once you listen a few times and get a feel for it, you can practice this on your own at any time when the ‘what ifs’ strike. Pretty cool!
